Since the beginning of time, folks have dreamed of sitting at home in their underpants waiting for their beer delivery.

Well, dream no more — the era of craft beer delivery is finally upon us!

With better technology, greater demand, and a dramatically changing craft beer landscape, breweries are taking a cue from the pizza industry and dropping their suds right on thirsty people’s doorsteps. Now, if only they would embrace some kind of ‘30 minutes or it’s free’ deal!

That probably won’t happen, but beer delivery already is! Here are a few ways it’s taking off.

The Biggest and the Beeriest

Not to toot our own horn, but TOOOOOOT! Tavour is among the largest and most diverse beer delivery services in the country. With thousands of craft beers each year from hundreds of independent breweries, you never know what’s going to show up on the app!

It’s like online roulette, except every spin lands on beer — and you’re always the winner.

One day, maybe you’ll stumble across a delicious IPA from Anchorage Brewing Company, where they craft some of the hoppiest and BOOZIEST brews around!

The next, you might find something from Fair Isle, a Seattle brewery that opened their doors right before quarantine struck and still managed to thrive!

Plus, the Tavour app is free to download, so you can check it out without spending a dime.

Keepin’ it Local

It’s always awesome to fill your fridge with exotic brews from far flung breweries, but you should also enjoy what your own city and state have to offer.

Fortunately, you can stock your fridge without having to shower or find your shoes, because breweries all across the country offer local beer delivery!

Case in point: if you live near Pennsylvania’s Levante Brewing you can text their beer fridge, and it’ll text you back with exactly what’s available! Then, they’ll ship it right to your door. And that’s awesome, because Levante is one of the country’s top up-and-coming IPA breweries!

Don’t live in Pennsylvania? That’s alright! It seems like so many breweries offer delivery these days, so there’s probably one in your town.

In NYC? Check out Evil Twin! They deliver to the whole state, and the brewery is run by a Danish guy named Jeppe who is both a brewing genius and a modern-day mad scientist. He’s made beers with Mountain Dew Syrup, entire wedding cakes, biscotti, and currency. Yup, actual paper money that he dumped into the brew.

Or, maybe you could check out Divine Barrel Brewing in Charlotte — if you’re from Charlotte. They’re delivering cans and growlers and their fruited Berliner Weisse-style beers are fantastic!

Or, how about Stormbreaker Brewing in Portland? They offer same-day delivery in the city if you order before 3PM.

Are you in Lincoln, Nebraska? Zipline Brewing has you covered! Nashville? Check out Bearded Iris! In L.A.? You’ve got Beachwood brewing, Cellador, and Firestone Walker!

Eat, Drink, and be Merry

You probably already get food delivered (thank you Korean Cold Noodle — the very first food delivery service, dating back to 1768) but did you know that many delivery services will also bring you beer now?

That’s right, in many cities, Grubhub, Uber Eats, and DoorDash will bring cold cans of liquid refreshment alongside your hot wings and tater tots! It’s just like hanging out at your local! Except, instead of sports on a big screen, you’re watching reruns of The Office on your laptop. And, instead of chatting with the bartender, you’re talking to your cat about the new Slanket you just ordered from Amazon.

In other words, we are living through a golden age of craft beer delivery. A magical time when pants are optional and boxes of delicious brews appear on your doorstep.

No matter where you are, there’s probably a craft beer delivery option that works for you. Find it, and let the brews flow freely!
